Spider Amalthea Vase in Sunflower
The Spider Amalthea Vase is handmade by shaping paper mache clay over a variety of recycled items, including a milk jug, giving it its beautiful shape with a small handle. We are obsessed with repurposing and giving new life and to recycled objects, by designing their forms into new contexts.
While very lightweight, the material is sturdy and hard. It is finished with yellow ochre paint layered in such a way as to bring out the natural texture of the paper. It is sealed with water based polyurethane.
This vase is a wonderful bright accent piece and looks great with some dried flowers or even just a few twigs. While it is sealed, this item is NOT waterproof, so is not suitable to hold water or live flowers, and is not food grade.

Care Instructions:
While our paper mache items are sealed they are not water friendly. You can use our items to store dry or artificial flowers, various décor, jewelry, keys, etc.
Please follow these guidelines to ensure that your piece stays in great shape for many years to come:
· Keep away from water and high humidity areas
· Do not use to serve food, the surface is not food grade
· Use indoors only
· Place only on dry surfaces
Cleaning:
If you need to clean the surface it is best to wipe down with a dry cloth. If necessary, a slightly moistened cloth can be used to wipe off a stain.
